    3. This sounds like a rip off to me. The only way this sort of document could have survived burned courthouses would either to have been in private hands meaning they had not gone through the courts or authentic copies and should be certified or that they had been sent to the state capitol before that county courthouse was burned. In case of having been sent to the state capitol they are available for a very nominal fee. Once in a while something rare is found but not whole batches of old records. Of course, anything can happen but this looks like a rip off to me. Dorothy C.
