This was SO true of my grandfathers death certificate which had been completed by one of my distraught Aunts .... and the info was what she knew. She gave the wrong parents names .... had his dad listed as James instead of Frank, had is mother at "Pet" which was a nickname. I have the "proof of death" but the information is just not accurate other than the death information. I can only IMAGINE how confused future researchers will be when they happen upon it.
