Adding to what Emaress Nova wrote: Wards Road does connect with Route 29 and the "Wards Road" designation is carried through in addresses all the way down Route 29 until one reaches Altavista, Va. I live just off Route 29 in Campbell Co.outside of Altavista, and nearby there is a road named Mansion Bridge Road. My husband, who is from this area says that there used to be an old home called "The Mansion" which accounts for the road's name. Continuing down 29 S, the next small town is Hurt, then Gretna, then Chatam, just place the towns. I do hope Jones Memorial helps you.
