Amen > I may be going back a little far, but if I remember my history right, and sometimes my rememberer doesn't work quite like it should, when Virginia was originally founded it, more or less, went all the way across the continent. In other words it had no set western boundary. I think each of the original colonies was pretty much started open to the west. After all no one REALLY knew how far "west" was back then.
