ok, i finished adding 1873 marriage's to the website, if there is a month missing, then the page was missing off the microfilm.................. Also added a few 1873 death/obits. mostly were infants................... starting 1874 today........................... I will eventually go into norfolk and get earlier ones, as the norfolk papers start around 1800. Also made some changes to the mead pages................ for those who care: i finally got my water leak fixed in the front yard, ($300) whew.............. the house around the block had same leak and they must have paid through the roof because they had industrial machines out there......... and then ended up with the exact same patch in the driveway as me. now i wonder when the next guy is going to get his fixed................ it seems there was a recall of this quest pipe years ago, seems they all tend to split..at the water meter................ bah humbug...... you can see these patches all over the neighborhood................ oh and for those of you who want to smile....... at my "sillyness" i found myself deep in coversation yesterday, at the library with an elderly gentleman about PAC & NORFOLK counties and boundries etc. and i was trying to sound "expertly" only to find out that he was a decendent of one of the VERY FIRST landowner's in NORFOLK/PAC COUNTY adam thorowgood.......... he was so nice and never disagreed or anything, and i even helped him read some documents from 1624.... oh i was never so embarrassed in my whole life........................... Would anyone like to contribute stuff to one of the 3 websites? anyone have any va marriage notices or obits from before 1900? or interesting newspaper stuff or interment listings from before 1900? later kristina _www.nyvagenealogy.homestead.com/virginiarecords.html_ (http://www.nyvagenealogy.homestead.com/virginiarecords.html) _Princess Anne County, VAGenWeb_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~vaprinc2/) _Norfolk Co, VA, Homepage_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~vanorfol/) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
would you accept contributions (ie, money) from any of us who appreciate your work and taking over the Norfolk site? I think even $5 from here and there would make your time easier, or pay for your lunch downtown if nothing else. and, as a lateral descendent of Adam Thorowgood, can you share the last name of the gent? I suspect I know whose eyes must have been twinkling while you spoke (twinkling, not critical, mind you). Kristina, I have a record of a marriage in Augusta County, VA in 1761 taken from a minister's hand written record. Would you be interested in a copy of that? If so email me and I will attach it to you. Dorothy C. White dotwhite@comcast.net
