There were CURLES in old Elizabeth City county in the very early days. Some of the them moved up to the Richmond area, outside of the city. There was a Curles Neck Farm for years and a Curles Neck Dairy for a many years. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Yvonne Slonaker <yes_les@yahoo.com> To: VAROOTS-L@rootsweb.com <VAROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, August 01, 2003 3:04 PM Subject: Re: [VAROOTS] The register of St. Peters Parish, New Kent Stone Listings >Thanks so much, Kristina. Kristina: I will take you at your word. I am looking for a marriage between William Haynes and Polly/Mary Pryor, probably around 1804, first child born 1805, but my problem is I do not know which county in Virginia to tell you to look. To FRMRNYC - I read your message and would be most grateful if you could look up a marriage record in Loudoun County for Isaac MYERS and Sarah DAVIS who are listed as the parents of Abel Davis MYERS born Feb, 24, 1804 in Leesburg, London, Virginia. I am assuming that London is really Loudoun County unless there is a London County in Virginia. I am certain that Isaac and Sarah MYERS were Quakers, lived in Leesburg and also owned slaves. I have hit a brick wall with this generation and I would appreciate any help you can give me. Regards, Elizabeth Norton --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Thanks for the Fluvanna marriages. Unfortunately my John R.Pace and Elizabeth P. are not there. I think it must have been another county, Goochland, Louisa, are the only ones I know close by. I wonder if her last name was Parrish or Payne. Kristina, So glad no one was seriously injured in your accident....As you said "Thank God".... Could you please check your sources in Loudon Co., VA for any Johnson family marriages? And also your Goochland Co., VA sources for any Faure/Foree/Fore/Ford marriages.....I know these are kind of generic, but the first names are repeated so much and so common that it is hard to just give a first name and names and spouses names may be all that I have on some of them....Thanks so much for your help.....You can email me at nettiebug1059@aol.com Thanks again for your help....Lynette
