I am a decendant of Hezekiah Clements Born in Va. Abt 1790. He moved to Knox Co. Ohio and Married Emily Spry. If the online information is correct Charles Clements and Sarah Kidd are his parents. Harris K Clements ( his Brother) moves to Ohio, living near Ranson after Charles death in 1848. Three questions: 1) Who is Charles Father, Stephen, Adam, John. I give up, I have changed it so many times. 2) Is this the same Charles that served in the civil war along w/ Thomas Clements? 3) And is this the same Charles on Clement Hill? I would really like to solve this, as my mother is 78 years old and remembers her Grandmother Pearl Etta Clements Poole saying she was related to Mark Twain. I would like to tell her How :) Karen Fitzpatrick Hall karidancer@aol.com Other Va. Surnames: John Simpkins - 1763 - Morganstown, Va. Sarah Contee - 1797 - Charleston (W) Va. I have McIntires who were living in Alexandria Va from mid 1700s thru 1900; only problem is that I can't find them. This information came from a family bio of Isaac McIntire from Muskingum Co OH (written1902)-- his line of McIntires supposedly came from Alexandria to Redstone Old Fort (now Fayette Co PA) where they served in Rev War. Then they migrated to Ohio/Brooke Co VA. I can find them listed in Ohio Co VA tithables beginning in 1786. What I'm missing is the family they left in Alexandria which would help me identify the immigrant McIntire. Family first names include William, John and Robert. Many Thanks, Janet Currie
