Margaret, know just how you feel - been banging my head against not brick but stone with sharp edges for over 20 years about the Beamers. If anyone comes across William B. Beamer or his father John N. My gr gr grandfather, Andrew J. Thompson was b. in Virginia in 1813. I have a copy of the records showing that he married an Eliza McIntire, (also b. 1813) in 1833, in Springfield, Ohio. I have records that indicate that Andrew and other family members migrated together from Virginia to Ohio. Now, I'm wondering if, perhaps, his McInire in-laws might have made this same migration and also have had roots in Virginia? Unfortunately, "Eliza" was a very popular name, back then, and I've come across several "Eliza McIntires" in my searching but none seem to be quite right. I hope that someday I'll be able to find out who my Eliza's family was. Jan Weber Fancypatch@aol.com

Roll Call........Searching for any information on DEWITT C. MOSBY, born in 1811. EDMUND BOOKER IV, born in 1787 (VIRGINIA) JULIA FERGUSON, born in 1797 All these individuals are believed to have been born somewhere in the Amelia, Cumberland, Powhatan, Prince Edward, Notingham Counties area.
There is a Booker Cemetery in Cumberland Courthouse, VA. I have a copy of the inventory of that cemetery with an update that was done in 1991. I did not find any Edmund Booker listed, but quite a number of Edward Booker listings. Mrs. Meriwether V. Smith who lives at Pocohontas Farm in Cumberland knows quite a bit about the Booker family and I am told she has an extensive genealogy of them. She is quite elderly, but when I last saw her she was still very lively. --- Mooreedith@aol.com wrote: > Roll Call........Searching for any information > on DEWITT C.
