Hi folks, I'm still trying to find the roots of John Clough from Rockingham Co. He's my g-g-g-g-grandfather. We know he was living in Rockingham in 1784 because he's in the Census. We have a lot of information about John when he was in the Rev. War and after he moved to Harrison Co., Kentucky in 1795 and we have the listing of most of his decendants. However, there are 2 Cloughs still living in Rockingham Co. but they have never responded to my phone calls so I presume that they're not interested in their family history. We (there are a group of us still looking) can't find any link to the Cloughs of Northeast Cloughs, the PA Cloughs or the Virginia Cloughs. I'm fairly sure that we're only one link away from Elizabeth Clough Anderson from Gold Mine, VA family but we haven't been able to make that connection. I've tried to make a connection to the Andersons of Rockingham but can't find a connection back to Elizabeth's husband's line. Seems like a dead-end. Can anyone help?
