I am interested in finding out information on the following people, who I believed resided in Rockingham county, Shenendoah county or Augusta county at some point: Sara Ann Armentrout (Abt 1848, VA -1935) married to John Phillip Hasler Abt.1830, VA -1907). Armentrout may be spelled Armintrout, Ermentraudt, Armantrout or Armentrought (or various other ways). I have seen it spelled many different ways in the information I have found out so far regarding the Armentrout family. I have found information regarding many Armentrout's in this area of Virginia during this time period, but thus far I have not been able to determine how Sara Ann fits in. Sara Ann and John Phillip had a son, Robert Lee Hasler (Abt. 1869-1940) who married Eliza Jane Pittington (1864-1926). The only information I have been able to find out about Eliza is that she was likely born in Rockingham county out-of-wedlock to a woman named Mary. Their son Paul Hasler (b. June 8, 1891) and his wife Louisa Emila (Elise) Banko (b. May 25, 1901), are my great grandparents. By 1926 they were living in Cashmere, WA.
