I'm not sure how many of you know that the Rockingham County Federal census images are now on CD's through 1920. (Of course the 1890 census is not.) Expensive, but fascinating. I have found on-line indexes (FTM and Ancestry.com) through 1870, and there is a published index for 1880 but for 1900, 1910, 1920 you are on your own. I keep finding unknown members of the KYGER family in the Social Security Death Index. Through meticulous and, I might add, exhilarating tracking, I have found that one woman, married to a Kyger, had numerous children after the death of her husband with numerous partners, to whom she gave the surname KYGER. SHOCKING! When I first started this project I wanted only to add other researchers' files. Wrong. The joy is finding what no one has documented before. Maggie Kyger Miller
