Catharine GARVER b. 1783 prob. in Rockingham Co., VA married Jacob RIFE. Jacob RIFE's family mentioned in the State Enumeration as "5 souls, 1 dwelling and 1 other dwelling." Moved to Perry Twp., Montgomery Co., Ohio about 1837. In marriage books for Rockingham Co. there appears to be several Catharine GARVERS and several Jaboc RIFE's.
