Can you help here? There is a great branch of PA KITES from Blockley and Philadelphia in general. I have a page on them at: http://members.xoom.com/Stockham/Kite.html But there is a branch, new to my knowledge, that claims VA origins, and that begins to look like a new, fascinating branch, every bit as long as the PA branch! Two huge chains that seek to merge. And ROCKINGHAM, may hold the clue. Do you folks know of anything such as is found here? http://www.FamilySearch.org/Search/af/ancestral_file_frame.asp?recid=2583089 This gives a John (Windlekite) Wendell KITE as born, Blockley, Phila., PA on 21 Oct. 1682. Died July 3, 1745 in ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA. Buried 1745 at Merion, PA, a Quaker burial ground. Please, please tell me about ALL Kites you may be aware of. This is a great opportunity to discover if two great lines, a north and a south, meet! Thanks, Vince Summers
