Does anyone on the list have knowledge of the children of this couple? Elizabeth Byerly was born about 1776, the daughter of Joseph Byerly. She married Michael Kline June 2, 1798 in Rockingham County (bond dated May 2 1798). Her name was spelled Byrer in the records. She died August 28, 1857 in Jackson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. Her husband died February 23, 1839 in Deerfield Township, Ross County, Ohio. There is solid research of one of their children, George Cline, born August 19, 1799 in Rockingham County. My problem is on one of their other children, Michael Cline. A book was published in 1905 on the history of Abraham Beery by Joseph H. Wenger noting the marriage of Chatherine Beery to Michael B. Kline on May 28, 1833 in Rockingham County. No mention of Michael's parents, but he is noted as having been born in OHIO. A number of files appear on the internet showing that this Michael was the son of Michael Cline and Elizabeth Byerly. It might be so, but my Michael was born in Rockingham County after 1798. His parents did not remove to Ohio until the 1830's. I have contacted a number of Cline and Beery researchers and not one of them can confirm who this Michael Cline's parents were.
