Hi Carol, I kind of knew that but I hoping maybe I might be wrong. The Horner Family Bible is out there somewhere and I was told that it was really big and sat on a table in Martinsburg, WVa until Theresa Horner Clark died in 1993 and no one knows where it might be. That would solve all of my problems, maybe. I guess I will have to go to the Morman Library and see if the book from the Court House was filmed as I live in Buffalo, New York and can get there until sometime next year. some of those records have been transcribed and are on Ancestry.com and you might try the Library of Virginia web site, there are some things being done there too. if you are talking the early births, 1853 - 1896, YES, they are filmed. and, yes, LDS has them. Will tell you that there are two sets of records that have been filmed, I am not sure I can describe or recall totally correctly, but it seems there is a set of the records in the original books, that were filmed (what you see in the courthouse) and there was a set that was derived from "clerk Copies" that were sent to the State. I found records in one set that were NOT in the other. Yes indeedy, I did. SIGHHHHH Now, if this family lived in the Brocks Gap area of Rockingham, ?????? do you know Pat Ritchie?? I think you said you did. Forgive me, I am tired and have an old leaky brain!>G>G>G> Good luck in your research. Buffalo, eh??? One of my hubbies families was up in that area, 1830ish to 1940ish. Buried at Morton Corners. Cheers Carol Aging With Attitude Memory Is More Indelible Than Ink...
