My own ancestor --the last before the Iowa begins is John N. Fudge. And, yes, John Peter Fudge is not the name of our ancestor. He signed his will (have copy) Hannes (or variant thereof) Fotsch. You must be from the Tennessee branch. They kept the "Fodge" name. I have info on some of those who went into Texas. Pat
