M Archer and list, On Dec. 8, 1999 you had posted the desc of Jacob Bear. I found different info on BA5174.57 John Baer, and was wondering if you knew which of these are correct. Although it is not my direct line, I try to keep updated on all the Bear/Baer/Bar lines. My info is from the book " Huber-Hoover History" by Harry M. Hoover Lancaster, Pa. Printed by Mennonite Publishing House, 1928 John Bare b. June 22, 1774 Rockingham Co., Va. D. Aug. 11, 1845. Mennonite; farmer; later moved to Ohio. Married Mary Wenger b. July 14, 1776 D. Sept. 19, 1848 Daughter of Joseph Wenger 1747/1812 and Barbara Huber 1747/1792. Joseph 2nd wife was Anna Hollman. The birthdates are the same except for John's death year being off by 3 years, no big deal, but none of the children's names are the same. Does anyone know which source is correct?
