I am looking for parents, siblings of: Nicholas GWIN and Rebecca SMITH (of German origin) Nicholas GWIN - b. 10/20/1798 in PA, moved to VA as young child, was a cooper by trade, d. 9/1868 in Warren Co. IN Rebecca SMITH - b. 11/20/1802 in VA (possibly, Rockingham Co.), d. 10/7/1857 in Warren Co., IN Nicholas and Rebecca were married 3/3/1827 (possibly in Rockingham Co., VA). After their marriage, they moved to Greene Co. OH. Two children were born there: George Smith GWIN, b. 1/3/1828, and Daniel Steen GWIN, b. 8/25/1829, d. 4/14/1908 in Benton Co. IN. Family then moved to Warren Co. IN, where other children were born: Francis M., Margaret, Nicholas, & Rebecca A. If anyone has any connections to this family, please reply. Early information on Nicholas and Rebecca was taken from the following book: HISTORY OF THE GWIN FAMILY (Gwin, Gwinn, Gwyn, Gwynn, Gwynne, Guin, Guinn, Wynn, Wynne), written by Jesse Blaine Gwin. Published by author, 725 Orchard St., Fairfax, VA, 1961. Does anyone know about this book or of the author?
