I have many Hoover ancestors from the Rockingham County area. A brief lineage of my ancestors is.... Benjamin Hoover (born 1895) son of Hiram Hoover (born 1852) son of Abraham Hoover (born 1812) son of Jacob Hoover (born 1775, not sure if this date is correct) All of them were born in and lived in the Rockingham County area. Some of them in Singers Glen. Abraham may have had a brother David born in 1819. Could be the same David in your line. I have run into a wall in my research and am grasping at straws!
