Hi, Linda, I put the names of the two individuals in a Google Book Search (link is on Google page under more) and came up with the following book. It does include the marriage you mention in a snippet view of page 161 of the book. Since the book is still under copyright, this is all that is shown. The Martzes of Maryland: A History of Martz of Maryland By Ralph Fraley Martz Published 1973 R. F. Martz 189 pages Original from the University of Wisconsin - Madison Digitized May 31, 2007 Google Book Search also offers a very useful tool: FIND THIS BOOK IN A LIBRARY. Clicking on this link takes you to WorldCat, which lists 15 libraries that own this book. If you put your zipcode in the field given for it, WorldCat will line the libraries up in order from the closest one to the farthest from you. Hope this helps. I just received from a woman named Betty Martz a chapter from a book that someone from Maryland wrote on the Martz family. Chapter 29 has to do the with Martz of Rockingham County, VA and on page 161 of the book there's a listing for the marriage of Sebastian Martz and Lydia Messerly, Dec. 2, 1839. The chapter I received is very disjointed, but it looks as if this is a piece I was looking for. But, now I have no way to document it. I need to go back to the author of this book. Thanks so much for your help. I am truly most appreciative. Linda Keeler
