Folks, I found it hard to believe, but I just have to check this out. I have a James Foss CHEW who was the son of Louis DeRousse Chew, b. Feb. 14, 1878 and d. Dec. 27, 1920. Mother was Florence Foss, no details known. Now Louis was b. NJ and d. Bronxville, NY I did a Rootsweb SSDI lookup for James Chew, on the basis of the birth date of October 23, 1908. There was only one. Same birth date. Here is what I read... JAMES CHEW Born: 23 Oct 1908 Death: 07 Oct 1989 Last Residence: 22812 (Bridgewater, Rockingham, VA) SSN: 223-07-5313 State of Issue: Virginia What do you folks think? He did not die so long ago.
