    3. Bonnie-- Which Jacob Miller of 1748 would this be. I'm not familiar with that descriptive term but would guess it is Jacob who was affiliated with Adam Miller. From researching the area for my Jacob Millers family, there were at least 2 other Miller families, maybe 3 that were there that early. Adam Miller had a Jacob in his family & Jacob had 200 ac on SE side of Shenandoo River & They were from Lancaster Co., PA. Adam lived near Elkton. This Jacob was there by 1748. Adam was there way before. If he was Adam's son, perhaps he turned of age & started appearing in documents in 1748. I believe there was another Jacob who m. Catharine & came down there from Lancaster Co., PA & also settled on the Elkton side of the Peaked (Massanutten) Mtn. Also in the area 1740's on. My ancestor, Jacob Miller who m. Margaret & his descendants lived on the W. side of Peaked Mtn near present Timberville, on Linville Creek. He was there by 1745 tho he may not have been nr Timberville right at first. If you book contains information on my ancestor, I'd appreciate a lookup. 1. Jacob #2 Miller, b. c1726, d. 1808 Monroe Co., VA, m. Elizabeth FUDGE. b. 1744 Orange (later Augusta & now Rockingham) Co., VA, d. 1777 Greenbrier Co., VA, dtr/o John Peter FUDGE & Catharine MAGGERT/MAEGERT. 2. Jacob #1 Miller, b. 1702 Germany m. Margaret Miller (no relation). They may have stayed or died at Falkner's Swamp, Philadelphia (now Montgomery) Co., PA, but there is a possibility they moved to what is now Rockingham. 3. Jacob #3 Miller, b. c1756 at Jarmon/Jarman, Augusta (now R'ham) Co., VA. Have quite a bit on him. Am wondering if the book tells where Jarmon was. There was a Jarmon/German road & I think it was a little German community nr Timberville, but need confirmation. 4. John Miller, son/o Jacob #1, also lived on Linville Cr 5. George Miller. Know little of him in this area. He moved to Greenbrier Co., VA then KY. Need who he married & his children. 6. Christian & Henry Miller. Would like to find information on them that is accurate. Need descendants. I don't think this Christian was the one who m. Catharine Conrad, dtr/o Stephen. 7. Barbara Miller, dtr/o Jacob #1, m. Jacob Mann, son/o Jerg Bernhardt Mohn, & they lived near McGehesville. 8, Catharine Miller, dtr/o Jacob #1, m. George Conrad. Don't know where they lived. He made whiskey & even after his death in Greenbrier, his estate contained MANY gallons of whiskey & a still. In Greenbrier he had a mill. I don't know his lineage & would like to. He is not Stephen's son Geo, who m. a Greider. I've "gathered" Millers of the area to help me sort out mine. Used land records etc. And information on my line will be appreciated. If the books gets into historical stuff, I'd like to hear what it has. Thanx so much-- Donna You said-- I have the Jacob Miller of 1748 books if anyone needs a lookup. Bonnie Vance Miller
