Roy, John W. Wayland's book, "Virginia Valley Records" has a map of Rockingham County in the front -- it is small but has lots of info. It has Linville Creek and Joe's Creek both on it. Linville Creek runs north and south and is west of Linville. Looks like it may empty into the North Fork Shenandoah at Broadway (I assume Broadway was a town). Joe's Creek runs east and west and is west of Linville. Joe's Creeks seems to empty into Linville Creek west and a little north of Linville (looks to be a little over a mile west of Linville). All of the libraries around here (East Texas) seem to have Wayland's book If I can help, let me know. Good luck. June Everheart.
