George Zimmermann/Carpenter, Sr.'s children seem to be pretty well established by the 1829 will of his son Conrod, who died without issue and left his estate in ten equal shares to his 2 half brothers and his 8 full brothers and sisters [listed by name - in a number of cases the sibling had pre-deceased Conrod, and their tenth was divided among that sibling's heirs; the probate disbusements still exist]. So unless Mathias died before 1829 and had no children, I'm pretty sure he is not a son of George, sr. I have NO information on parents or siblings of George, sr so I can not rule out Mathias being a cousin or other relative. Do you have a connection between Mathias and Fudge / Shitley?
