Surnames: fulk Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5BC.2ACI/698.2 Message Board Post: hey, it is senedo. yes, there were massacres. of the senedo with dates given as 1722, 1700, 1732, and 1750ish. depends upon historian writing about it. the history books you mention are in many libraries and available through interlibrary loan. there are several sources. handley regional library in winchester, va. has a terrific archives with all these books. try to get on loan if you are not nearby: kercheval or wayland - authors and ask for history of shenandoah valley. the massacre of the senedo is claimed by edinburg, va. they have a billboard and a site. beautiful place. of course another source says meems bottom which has a covered bridge is the site. but - there was only the one massacre necessary to wipe out the small, assuredly, band of senedo. please get in touch and tell me what line you are. maybe we can help each other. see message posted to denny shirer in the section where you posted your query. hope to hear, thanks, s
