    3. Michael, I don't have any inside information on the Mt. Olivet Church, but according to John Wayland in the History of Rockingham County he says it was organized 1899 by Rev. W.T. Herndon, and the house built in 1900. That could explain why your older ancestors don't appear to be buried there. Also, Wayland lists another Christian church at Island Ford, built in 1905. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~varockin/wayland/chap14.htm Harriet On Thu, 20 Nov 2008 12:00:16 -0500, Michael Sellers <muckham11@yahoo.com> wrote: > My hope is that there is a plot record, burial record, plot/burial > location record SOMETHING that will identify where individuals were > buried in the absence of a gravestone. >   > My Sellers were definitely in that area as well.  Henry Sellers, Sr., > died in June 1843, but I have no idea where he was buried.  I'm almost > relegated to the likelihood that it was in the Old Peaked Mountain > Church Cemetery and thus lost forever.  But, since 4 of his daughters > were buried in Mt.
