Deb, Good to see that you are still getting to do research. I have not done as much as I would like to lately, due to keeping my grandson. He is 22 months and quite active. Sue Propst, I am trying to do research on the Shaeffer family. My grgrgrgrandfather Jacob Shaeffer married Elizabeth Propst in Shenandoah County. Their children were born in Rockingham County, some around Dayton, and then they moved to Ohio during the Civil War because there was fighting on their farmland. My research hasn't gotten me very far in VA. Are there any suggestions that you can give me or possibly was Elizabeth a member of one of your ancestors family? If you can help me at all, I certainly would appreciate anything that you can suggest. Thank you.
