Bryan, on North Liberty Street, of pneumonia which followed Spanish influenza. Young Bryan for sometime had been an express messenger between Lexington and Harrisonburg and was popular among many friends, whom he leave[s] to mourn his untimely death. He was a grandson of the late Mrs. Emma Lyon Bryan, a noted Virginia artist. Surviving are his wife, who was a Miss Lucy Flynn, of Martinsburg, W. Virginia; one sister, Mrs. Louise Lappin, at home; his parents, and two brothers, Walter P. Bryan, and Henry Cuthbert Bryan of this city. Funeral services will be conducted from his late home at eleven o'clock Thursday morning.
