Mr. Losh had been in failing health for three years and was admitted to the hospital New Year's Day. He had worked for the Forest Service 15 years, the State Highway Department 12 years and town of Dayton two years. Mr. Losh was born in Rockingham County March 13, 1912, and was the son of the late Andrew "Jack" and Bessie Wheeler Losh. He lived his entire life in the Briery Branch community and was a member of Briery Branch Church of the Brethren. During World War II, he served in the Army. On April 13, 1935, he married the former Ella Wanger, who survives. Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Anna Lee Casady of Dayton; two sisters, Vernie Wanger of Dayton and Flomia Losh of Bridgewater Home; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. The funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the McMullen Bridgewater Funeral Home by the Rev. Simeon Heatwole. Burial will be in the Sangerville Church of the Brethren cemetery. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call at any time. Friends also may call at the home of his stepdaughter, Mrs. Dewitt Casady, at any time. In lieu of flowers, the family said donations may be made to the Bridgewater Rescue Squad.
