Sorry the Jacob mentioned in the will was the son of George Carpenter Jr and Elizabeth (Boyer) Carpenter; he was born ca. 1779 and d. 1830 in Casey or Lincoln Co., KY. There are others who study the NC Carpenter lines. I'll look for the right email and get back to you.
