Wondering if anyone might have an idea of where to go next? Looking for more information on Michelberry H. Lam He was alive in Aug. of 1884, as he sold 29 acres of land in Rockingham Co. After that date I can't find him in the tax records, or any others. I also have a question about how a deed reads from that date. His wife, who divorced him in 1882, is listed as his"late wife". Does this necessarily mean she is dead? \ Are there any collections of obituaries from the local newspaper for the time period of say 1885 to 1900? Thanks, Phyllis Teels
