Hi Julie, Thanks very much for the info involving the Rockingham Publik Claims that shows Michael Sellers supplying 200 lbs of beef during the Rev. War. Much appreciated. That really helps in trying to get a better picture of Michael overall in terms of his age. I've also found him listed with "1 tithable" on Felix Gilbert's 1775 Tithable List for Augusta County. I just don't know if that tithable was a child or not. If the tithable was a child and assuming the child was no older than 16 in 1775, it would seem to suggest that Michael was born at least in the late 1730s or early 1740s. I'm hoping for additional information from the Tax Lists for Rockingham County prior to 1787 but have not found any sources as yet for that info. Any help would still be greatly appreciated. The Library of VA has a small bit of information on titheables: http://www.lva.lib.va.us/whatwehave/tax/rn17_tithables.htm Lee Anne
