Hi Lynne may have something there. I have a deed dated 1763 at the junction of Mill Creek and the South Fork of the Potomac River. It makes much more sense if it is near Fort Republic, Rockingham County than in West Virginia. Does anybody know if the Shenandoah River used to be called the South Fork of the Potomac? Hugh Mottern
