Is anyone researching the Stolp/Stolph family of near Timberville that was there in 1792 as listed in Strickler's 1792 Tithables? There was one household with John, Sr., Peter, and John, Jr. listed, and then there was Peter Smith/Schmidt, then Henry Stolph, then Peter Evy. Mention was made of an old house seen in 1890, and identified as the old Stolp house. Was this the homestead in 1792. It is where the Southern Railroad crosses the river above Timberville.
