[sic] Nair of near Broadway Celebrates his Sixty-Ninth [sic] Birthday--25 Grandchildren Saturday, the children and grandchildren of R.F. Nair gave him a surprise birthday dinner at his home near Broadway, the occasion being his sixty-sixth [sic] birthday. Mr. Nair is ill with an attack of grippe. Mr. Nair was twice married and is the father of twenty children, eighteen of whom are living. He is the grandfather of twenty-five grand children, all of whom are living. Those of his children who were present with their families were: Rev. and Mrs. C.E. Nair and eight children, Roscoe, Irving, Nellie, Dessie, Eva, Sterling, Clarence and Esther of Broadway; Mr. and Mrs. Berlin R. Nair, of Timberville; Mrs. G.S. Cline and daughter, Lottie, of Harrisonburg; Mrs. Ella Rhodes and three children, Rita, Hazel and Lola, of Broadway; Herman, Paul, Guy, Ruth and Raymond Nair at home. Children living in the West and who were not present are: Messrs. A.A. and R. L. Nair of Panora, Iowa; L.W. Nair of Stuart, Iowa; B.H. Nair, of Scranton, Iowa; Mrs. Walter Summers, W.H. and G. M. Nair of Norborne, Mo.
