Valley Well Known Farmer and Blacksmith Passes Away at 6:25 a.m.; Funeral Thursday Morning Samuel Armentrout, farmer, blacksmith and widely known resident of Mountain Valley section, died at 6:15 a.m. yesterday at his home at Mountain Valley precinct following a long period of ill health. He was 69 years old. Mr. Armentrout was a son of the late William Armentrout. He was born and spent his entire life in the Mountain Valley section, where he was widely known by everyone and regarded as a leading citizen. Funeral services will be held from the home Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. P.S. Thomas, of Harrisonburg, officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity cemetery. Derror all of the Mountain Valley community. [Samuel was the son of William and Mary Ann (Hartman) Armentrout. He married Blanch Harrison, dau. of James K. Polk Harrison and Mary Catherine (Armentrout) Harrison, on 15 Oct 1899 in Rockingham Co., VA.]
