Services were conducted by Rev. W. J. Whitesell. The death of Mrs. Armentrout occurred at the home of her son-on-law, R.A. Armentrout, followed an illness of several weeks of infirmities of age. She was in her eighty-first year. She had for a number of years been a member of the United Brethren Church. Surviving Mrs. Armentrout are one son, James Armentrout, of near Harrisonburg, and one daughter, Mrs. Ottie Armontrout, of Keezeltown. She also leaves two brothers, Frank and Abraham Armentrout. [Frances was the daughter of Joseph B and Anna (Burkholder) Armentrout. She married Joseph Armentrout 24 Jul 1859 in Rockingham Co., VA.
