Parrett, Who Last Fall Married Mrs. Mollie Lineweaver, of Bridgewater, Passed Away Information was received in Harrisonburg yesterday of the death in Fresno, Cal., on March 4 of Jacob Grove Parret, a native of Rockingham, who last fall married Mrs. Mollie F. Lineweaver, of Bridgewater. Death was caused by Bright's disease and cancer of the liver. Mr. Parret was born near Dale Enterprice on April 12, 1844 and was in this seventy-first year. He left Virginian in 1864, going to Ohio, where he married and lived several years. During the next twenty years, he lived successively in Illinois, Missouri, Arizona, Oregon an finally located in California, where he spent the greater part of the last eighteen years. He made several trips back to Virginia. The last trip was last summer. He remained until October and on September 30 was married to Mrs. Millie F. Lineweaver of Bridgewater, widow of William Lineweaver. They reached their home in California on November 20. Mr. Parret is survived by four children by his first marriage. The funeral was conducted at 10:30 o'clock on the morning of March 6 by Rev. J. Harmon Stover and Rev. J. J. Brower. Services were held in the Fresno Mission (Church of the Brethren), which he has been in instrumental in building and maintaining. Mr. Stover is a native of Augusta County, having been born near Fort Defiance.
