I'm sorry, but I know only that he was the father of Katrina, who married Hans Fotsch (John Fudge) and provided him with a second family. Wish I did know. Undoubtedly, I will be asked about that family's background. He is described in one source as a "road builder." I have a friend whose maiden name was Maggart(d), and she knows she is part of that family, but not where. They may have been Moravian. She says they were from Lancaster County--but Lancaster County was pretty big back then. By the way, John Peter Fudge was not the name of the Augusta County, VA, John Fudge.
