I am trying to determine the names of the parents of twin girls, Ruby and Pearl Hilton. The girls were born on October 12, 1893, in Pineville, Bell County, Kentucky, however, they are living in McGaheysville with their "aunt and uncle" Andrew J. Harner and wife Mary Life per the 1900 Census. On both the 1900 and 1910 Census the girls are listed as living with Andrew J. Harner and wife Mary Life and each are listed as Andrew's "niece". Pearl went on to marry William Layton YANCEY and had at least three children; Layton Lee, Andrew Harner, and Walter W. Yancey. Pearl died on September 14, 1946, and was buried in Lacey Spring Cemetery. Ruby went on to marry Vernon Kyger Almond, Sr., and she also had at least three children; Henry Hinton, Vernon Kyger, Jr., and an infant son that was born/died on June 18, 1931. Ruby died on July 2, 1968, and was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. I'm assuming that a sibling of Andrew J. Harner was the girls' mother, however, I have come up empty in proving this one way or the other. A William HILTON was listed on the 1900 Census in Pineville, Bell County, Kentucky, as "Widowed", and its possible he was the girls' father. But, again, I haven't not been able to prove or disprove this. If anyone knows of these twin girls and has information concerning the names of their parents, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks! Michael Sellers
