Bonnie, I have a Jacob Shaeffer/Shaver, born 26Dec1823, died 22Nov1876 in Eureka Nev. I also have several Propsts, no Elizabeth, and none connected to the Shaeffer/Shafer/Shaver, I have Ann E.; Delilah; Harriet; Henry; Henry Jr.; Mary and Reuben. I don't have much on any of them, if they are connected please let me know. I have a lot of data on one Shaffer/Shafer/Shaver family in the Rockingham area, begining with Nicholas Shafer and his wife Mary Magdalena Grosvenor, they lived on a farm that is now near Broadway. She married Jacob Shaeffer in Shenandoah County. They moved to Rockingham County and had at least 4 children while they lived around Dayton. During the Civil War, as legend has it, some of the fighting happened on their land and they left the area and came to Ohio. Do you have any record of this family? I have not found any info of where this family was located prior to this. There are so many ways of spelling Shaeffer/Shaffer/Schaffer/Shafer/Shaver that it is hard to determine the families needed. Thanks for any information that you might have to send. Carol- In your Shaffer/Shaver/etc. data do you have anything on a Daniel Perry Shaver born 20 Sep 1809? We believe he was born in Shenandoah County but of course, that could be wrong. He married Nancy Sarah Kelly/Kelley 12 Mar 1833 in Shenandoah County. Reuben Kongree was the bondsman and John P. Cline was the minister. These were my grgrgrandparents and we have not been able to find out who Daniel's parents and siblings were. We know who Sarah's parents were but haven't found siblings. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Sharon Shaffer Domer csoy@adelphia.net wrote: Bonnie, I have a Jacob Shaeffer/Shaver, born 26Dec1823, died 22Nov1876 in Eureka Nev.
