I Am still researching my Cook family. The children were born around 1820, but I cannot find their parents. The children I have are Daniel, William and Levi. Do you have any Cook marriages in the 1700 and early 1800's. Betty Wine bwine12@wildblue.net

Chocy .... thanks very much for the specifics on the land. I did not have that as yet, and it will be very helpful. At this moment I've been trying to develop more background about their period in Albany NY (before Rockingham) and get the ID of their Grandparents, etc. I didn't think I'd find that info in Rockingham, but did hope to find a Hopkins searcher who might "be in the know" :-) Joe Joe, > Is the following what you need? > Chocy > > > "1815 Virginia Landowners" > Rockingham County, Virginia > Archibald HOPKINS, estate; Muddy Creek, Timber Ridge; located 7 miles NW > County Courthouse Harrisonburg. > John HOPKINS; North Mountain, Little North Mountain; 9NW and 10 NW and 9.5 > NW. > Thomas HOPKINS; North Mountain; 9NW and 12NW > William HOPKINS; branch Muddy Creek; 7NW. > > "Rockingham County, Virginia Survey Book O-1" > Page 27 > John HOPKINS; 23 acres; Head Branch of Muddy Creek; 11 Jan 1763 > Page 28 > Archiblad HOPKINS; 310 acres; both sides of Muddy Creek; 10 Jan 1763 > Page 118 > John GORDON; 318 acres; Muddy Creek; Adjoining Thomas SHANKLIN, Archibald > HOPKINS, and his own land; 25 Nov 1768. > Page 279 > William HOPKINS; 600 acres; Greenbrier River; 24 Oct 1751 > Archebald HOPKINS; 260 acres; Greenbrier River; 26 Oct 1751
