No. Fountain May was the son of Jacob May, and Jacob was the son of Adam May and Elizabeth Bott. I have not been able to establish a relationship between Adam May and George May, although George had a son named Adam. The George May family lived in the northwestern corner of Rockingham in Brock's Gap area, and the Adam May family lived in the southeastern corner of Rockingham in the Port Republic area. Shenandoah County was carved from Frederick County in 1772 and was originally named Dunmore. It took the name of Shenandoah in 1778. Rockingham County was carved from Augusta County in 1778 and not Shenandoah. Page County was carved from parts of both Rockingham and Shenandoah but not until 1831. Don't know if any of that help but hopefully it will as your search continues. Michael Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Her brother may also still be alive in Texas in an assisted living facility. I have much info on the Schultz as they were in Ohio and some on them in Virginia where Lenar's father Jacob Schultz was born. I do also have some tidbits on the Phibbs. The families were close. When I saw the John Q threads I had no idea they were related Phibbs. So now how do you fit in? You are the child from Bill Phibbs brother's children?
