    3. Hi Everyone, This is in response to Chuck's excellent idea. I have never posted to the list before, ( a newbie and shy I guess), but just had to when I read his suggestion to list our surnames. I would also be willing to do some marriage lookups, although only for about 2 weeks, as the book is on loan from the NGS library. It is the VA Historic Marriage Register, Rockingham Co. Marriages, 1778-1850, by John Vogt and T. William Kethley, Jr. You can email me direct or post to the list. My Rockingham surnames are as follows: FITZWATER, STRAWDERMAN, RIGGLEMAN, HARLESS, REDSLEEVE, WHETZEL, WEATHERHOLTZ, DRAIS and SHERMAN/SHIREMAN(not sure about the Sherman connection in Rockingham). I have many other names, but they are in other surrounding counties. Thanks for the suggestion, Chuck! I look forward to hearing from anyone researching any of these families. 1. [VAROCKIN] Re: Marriage Lookup, Please?
    2. Pamela
    3. Hello: Would someone please be kind enough to look up the marriage record of: Adam Countz (var.) to Catherine "Caty" Whitmeyer, July 29, 1808 in Rockingham VA. I am particularly trying to determine who Caty's parents were. Anyone researching Caty's family the Whitmeyers? I'd love to get in contact with you. ALSO.......Would you all please look in your reference books for any reference to Michael Kingery (var.) or family members in Rockingham County before 1820? I am really trying to determine when Michael left the area for Ohio. This Michael was originally Michael Gingrich married to Margaret Willmayer in Lancaster. I am trying to determine if there is a connection between Margaret and Caty above. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Pamela
