    3. Thanks very much to everyone responding to the lookup request. It is greatly appreciated and thankfully answers the question(s) I had. One quick note on this for anyone interested: The name in German was WEIT which became WHITE in English. I believe the book does list Christian's last name as "Welt", which I believe was a typo. Again, thank you very much for all those who kindly took time out of their day to reply. Its very much appreciated! Michael Sellers ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darrell D. 3. I'm wondering if some kind soul with access to the book with Rockingham county marriages can do a lookup for the 1796 marriage of James Sellers to Barbara White. I believe that the year (1796) is all that is given. However, I am interested in any additional information that might be included in the record concerning surety, bondsman, etc. as well as any noted relationship of those listed to either the groom or bride. Thanks in advance for the help! Michael Sellers

    3. Copies of Rockingham County marriage licenses 1865 to 1934 are at the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society in Dayton, VA. You cannot get these from the County or State (they will type up a copy from the original). There are rootsweb volunteers that go to the Historical Society to look up information. I'm not sure where you find the list of volunteers. Have you found the 1930 VA Census which indicates he was naturalized in 1885? If not, I can send it to you. 2. Is there any connection to Mary Turco and the cousin Frank Murry (naturalized 1883) of Mt. Holly Vermont? If so I can send that census. 3. Is he the Frank N. Murry buried Lacey Springs Cem in 1946? If yes, see http://www.rootsweb.com/~varockin/HRHS/Mu_Mz.htm Some suggestions: Contact the library at http://www.mrlib.org/ and/or the County Clerk of Rockingham Co. http://www.rockinghamcountyva.gov/showpage.aspx?PageID=137&Collapse=TRUE and determine if naturalization records exist for the 1880s. If they exist, insist they tell you where those records are kept. Not related to Murry
