    3. Hi Everyone, I would be interested in the Andrews line. I have not started researching the Andrews yet, but found them in my line. Noah Clark Shiflet b. 2-11-1834 m. Rachel Virginia "Jennie" Andrews b. 9-11-1854 Jennies parents were Jacob and Peggy Andrew. Noah and Jennie had 9 children as listed below. Tina A. Shiflet b. 9-1869 Charles Elmer Shiflet b. 5-7-1871 Jasper A. Shiflet b. 6-5-1874 Clayborne P. Shiflet b. 1-20-1876 Wilbert F. Shiflet b 1878 Albert Shiflet b. 5-1884 Amie C. Shiflet b. 5-1884 Anna C. Shiflet b. 5-1884 Arthur N. Shiflet b 10-1886 Now, Noah was born in Beldor Hollow, Rockingham County. Eventually, after his marriage to Jennie Andrew they moved on to Clover Hill. Thats where both Noah and Jennie are buried. Also, many of their children are buried there. Does anyone connect? 2. Hi Phyllis, I am researching Zachariah Lamb from Rockingham. All I know is that my great great grandmother Elizabeth Lamb was his daughter. I imagine she was born in the mid 1820s. She married James M. Andrews and I found her in the 1850 and 1860 census of Page County. She gave birth to six children including two sets of twins. She died in 1860 from cancer. Were any of the Francis's children twins? It would be interesting if we can find a connection. She divorced my great grandfather, Mickleberry H. Lamb in about 1882 and left him in Rockingham Co. I think that is so funny, you rarely hear of a divorce in those days, but I have the papers. 1. [VAROCKIN] Ohio Death Certificates Available for FREE!!!

    3. There's more than just Ohio. and the copies are nice quality! "gc-gateway@rootsweb.com" <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/12898/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm so excited that I have to share this with everyone! FamilySearch has started something I urged Ancestry to do ages ago - they've begun a volunteer indexing program that makes MILLIONS of records available for FREE! They offer up their ridiculously immense microfilm library in image format, and we, the people, index them page by page - a few minutes at a time - to create a free microfilm search for everyone. I just found dozens of my family's death certificates, and made a ton of connections through it. Sending away for these records takes weeks - even months - and a lot of money. Also, you have to know what you're requesting to get the copies. The Family Search Lab offers up an index that *includes* parents' names. I was able to search for children of my great-grandparents, leaving the actual name blank, and determined a handful of other family members I would have otherwise not known of (including babies!). They also have parish records, census records, and more. It doesn't seem to be TOTALLY complete, as it is missing a few names that I've found in a book version of the Ohio death index, but it has just about everything that the Ohio genealogical society's website offers. And we're talking about actual images - not just an index! Check it out: http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?datestamp=1210350651050# And if you've got 10 minutes, volunteer to transcribe a page or two to keep this free service going! Power to the people! Best, M

Some physical feature was used as the dividing line like a creek or river. And like all "rules" there are exceptions to this rule. Small counties may only have 1 list. Big counties may have 3 lists.
