Mohler (or Moler) who, in 1860, lived in Lexington, Rockbridge County, with his wife Nancy (age 49) and their two children William A. (14) and Sarah A. (16). Sarah may also have gone by the name Nancy and may have been married to William B. Dowdy, Jr. Another child, James W., died when young. William K. Mohler's occupation is listed as a blacksmith.
