The story in "Places Near the Mountains" was written by Geo. von Kromer. I have through basically none other than picking apart his story to find information on the Ledgerwood family...have found his story to be just a bunch of bogus information. There is roughly 25% of the story that is true. I have wills, deeds and other courthouse documentation to back up my research and prove Mr. Kromer wrong.
