    3. John Paxton, born 8/11/1797 died 12/4/1845 and Mary Childress Paxton, born 2/17/1799 died 11/?/1858 had one son, Samuel A. Paxton born 1820 married Mary Melvina McCown born 1827. I am aware that at least three girls were born to them but am led to believe they did not survive to become adults. Samuel died 11/23/1865 at Point Lookout Federal Prison, MD of wounds he suffered in the battle of Gettysburg. Samuel and Mary had 5 children. Elizabeth (Lewis) Margaret (Davis) Sarah (Brown) Frank (Sarah) John William who died at age 12. I am the GGgrandson of Samuel and Mary through their daughter Margaret and Charles Davis and would appreciate any information you may have regarding them, their siblings or parents.
