Please give me some dates associated with your GILBERTs. My g-g-g-grandfather was Leroy C. Gilbert (born abt 1808, married Mary BRADS in 1832 in Rockbridge Co, VA). Don't know when he died. Mary BRADS born abt 1813. On a recent trip to Rockbrige Co., VA, I found the Broad Creek Presbyterian Church cemetery (also known as the Miller Cemetery because Mr. Miller donated the land) where lots of GILBERTS are buried.....cemetery is located on Broad Creek Church Road. There were 2 graves in the GILBERT section which had a marker that was so old that it was unreadable, so perhaps these are Leroy & Mary's graves? I have more info on all of the GILBERTs buried there, but it's not here on my desk....will have to look it up & let you know. I have a list of Leroy & Mary's children. They had a son named Leroy Coleman GILBERT, who is buried in the cemetery mentioned above. Perhaps he is one of your relatives?
